Spiritual psych guru Matthew "Doc" Dunn celebrates the release of his
new LP "Tecumseh" on Bennifer Editions & Healing Power. With a band
of Toronto's deepest minds including Jonathan Adjemian (Hoover Party),
Isla Craig and Brandon Valdivia (Not The Wind, Not The Flag, Picastro),
he sets out on a winding psych folk journey. Blistered guitars over
rhythms borrowed from another continent & bred with our own. Come
travel the lost highways of burnt canadiana.
JENNIFER CASTLE
Toronto’s own psych-folk singer/songwriter, tales the road less
traveled, beautiful warm vocals like a blanket flow over gentle erie
guitar work. Creeping piano notes ripple like water droplets under
Jennifer Castle’s lyrics, like little dreams being sent off into the
night. Music to listen to by the campfire, quiet hymns full of complex
emotion.
CARL DIDUR
1/2 of Zacht Automaat and long standing Toronto music outsider Carl
Didur is a modern day tape manipulator, synth regurgitater. Creating
kraut inspired soundscapes mapped with prog flourishes, he is a soul
from a decade past continuing it's good work. Repetitive beat maps &
rhythm studies turn into psych meanderings through galaxies of
oscillated sounds, where hums & buzzes converse with each other
creating a textural maps of space time not yet traveled. This is the
next level.
